The Deliverables

It all started as a dream in my tiny one-bedroom apartment in San Luis Obispo. I wanted to create a fun, colorful clothing line that was inclusive, ethically made, and woman-owned. Within a year, I was selling my clothing and sewing patterns through Instagram, my website, and Etsy. And I quit my nannying job to pursue the business full-time.

In the midst of COVID-19, I faced the challenges of competing with fast fashion and navigating an economic downturn. To grow my reach, I self-taught social media marketing, Google My Business, Facebook Ads, organic posting, and the importance of local markets in the fashion industry.

Running Little Bee & Company was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I supported myself through art full-time, built an engaged community, and gained hands-on experience in digital marketing and e-commerce. Ultimately, the physical and mental toll of sewing day in and day out led me to close the business, but the lessons I learned continue to shape the creative and strategic work I do today.

about me

I’ve been skiing since I was three years old, growing up on the slopes of Bear Valley. At the University of Oregon, I met my husband on a ski bus to Mt. Bachelor. We even played in a band together for years before we started dating, and we finally got married this past August. Now, we share life in Southern California with our 5-year-old dog, Rye Whiskey // terrible at fetch, great at barking. I also own a 1977 moped and a 1980s scooter, both of which are non-functional (but I’m determined to fix them).

Curiosity and creativity fuel both my work and my life. I’ve always been drawn to hands-on projects — whether designing websites, sewing, gardening, or experimenting with new digital tools. I find joy in the process of bringing ideas to life, from sowing seeds in my garden to building campaigns that grow a brand’s presence online. My favorite projects blend creativity with strategy: designing digital experiences, refining SEO, or producing content that connects people.
